Accepting/My Interests:
I am currently accepting books for review from authors and publishers. I would love to read and review both ARCs and published books. In the same vein, I also have a kindle as well as an iPad. If you have a book with a file type compatible I am open to reading electronic copies as well. While I am not accepting manuscripts, I may consider a self published book.
This is a YA literature blog. For the most part that the only age range I will really accept. In some cases I'll accept MG literature as well. The genres that I prefer are:
- Contemporary Fiction
- Paranormal
- Fantasy
- Historical Fiction
- Romance
- Chick Lit
- Science Fiction
For the most part I am not interested in nonfiction, or fiction with religious undertones.
My Reviews:
My reviews focus on the opinions and feelings I had while reading the novel. For the most part that includes a look at the characters and plot, and then how engaging the novel was a whole for me as a reader. Depending on how the novel made me feel there may be more, there may be less.
The reviews are honest. If I don't like the book I'll let you know why respectfully, but I will also take the time to point out what I thought was good. In my reviews I include the following information: cover image, title, author, publisher, format I read it in, length, and my rating. In the review I provide a brief summary of the novel, and then I generally look at character development and plot, followed by anything else that really stood out to me. If there is ever anything specific you want me to look at, feel free to let me know.
My reviews are posted on this blog, goodreads, librarything, amazon, and mentioned on twitter (@chelseamaya) and facebook. I am also able to email a copy at your request.
Interviews/Guest Posts/Giveaways
Another part of my blog is that I love promoting books/authors. In the same vein I love to host giveaways. So, if you are interested, I am happy to host giveaways, be on blog tours, or do author interviews/spotlights.
